Invited folders

Romŕn Diaz lives in Uruguay. He wrote two books (Origami for interpreters and Origami essence) and is famous both for his very ingenious folding sequences and his artistic touch. Most of his models are animals, which isn't surprising as Romŕn is ... a veterinarian. Browse through his Flickr album before meeting him in person.
Nicolás Gajardo is one of the major origami artist in South America. Have a look at his Flickr album and his blog
Melisande* (Christiane Bettens) is a folder from Switzerland. She is famous for her intricate tessellations and her tato boxes and origami quilts. She founded, with a group of other folders, the group "origami for the people" that frees origami models in public places. You should have a look at her Flickr album and her website
Sébastien Limet is an origami artist who create various ingenious and interesting creations since some years. You can check out his Flickr album.
