Convention 2013, 4 - 6 Octobre 2013

Presentation

Just like last year, the Ultimate Origami Convention 2013 will take place in the centre international de séjour de Lyon (CISL), from October 4th to October 6th 2013. Holding the convention at the CISL allows

to have enough space for the convention and welcome more participants,
to use the center's restaurants for lunch and dinner,
to get rooms on site for the participants.

Invited folders

	Romàn Diaz lives in Uruguay. He wrote two books (Origami for interpreters and Origami essence) and is famous both for his very ingenious folding sequences and his artistic touch. Most of his models are animals, which isn't surprising as Romàn is ... a veterinarian. Browse through his Flickr album before meeting him in person.
	Nicolás Gajardo is one of the major origami artist in South America. Have a look at his Flickr album and his blog
	Melisande* (Christiane Bettens) is a folder from Switzerland. She is famous for her intricate tessellations and her tato boxes and origami quilts. She founded, with a group of other folders, the group "origami for the people" that frees origami models in public places. You should have a look at her Flickr album and her website
	Sébastien Limet is an origami artist who create various ingenious and interesting creations since some years. You can check out his Flickr album.

In order to simplify registration, everything will be done via our partner's website. Payment can be made online and is given back to the OORAA association for organising the convention.

The price depends on how long you are staying at the convention: one, two or the whole three days!
- one day is 55€,
- two days are 75€,
- three days are 85€.
It is possible to ask for a room at the CISL, which mean you don't have to commute to the convention... Prices are:
- double room (twin beds), with private shower, shared toilets: 25€ per person,
- double room (twin beds), with private shower and toilets: 33€ per person,
- single room with private shower, shared toilets: 33€,
- single room with private shower and toilets: 42€.
The CISL isn't a normal hotel and you cannot book a room yourself, which is why you have to do it when registering.
For meals, the easiest is to eat at the CISL's restaurant. The basic meal is 9€, which you have to pay there.
